Snakehead fish are pretty interesting, as are Splash Tetras and Archer Fish.

That first fish you posted looks somewhat like a gulper eel though it is clearly a fish. However, due to the popped out eyes I would say it is likely from the same depth as the gulper eel. Very very deep.

Yeah the popped out eyes clearly say that it came from the deep, and as Megham said, it's not a Gulper eel. The mouth is too small. Also the splash tetras look interesting with the pointed fins although in my opinion, they look nothing like tetras.
