Are you doing this with or without the fish in the tank?

Ok if you put the fish in another tank things get alot easier.

1, remove evrything from the tank but keep the gravel wet as well as all ornaments etc from the tank water.(dont leave any gravel their)

2, place the bottom tray in the tank with the uplift pipe connected.

3, place the grave with the water its stored in back into the tank with the ornaments.

4, add the air line into the uplift pipe somewhere near the bottom with a small airstone prefered.

5, Refill the tank (normally with the same water but as your changeing it just make you you add a water stablizer).

You dont necessarly need to go and buy another pump but you will need more airline. I would personnaly try a t valve or 2 way manifold to begin with. But that depends on the pump you have. What air pump is it your useing and what airstone is that running at the moment?

which aqua culture pump is that. Is their any numbers on it that give the amout of air per min or hour?

I always use a check valve just to be safe after flooding the house. Depending on how far away you pump is you will need that amount of air line. Also a t-vlave or a 2 way maifold.

T valve is exactly what it says a t junction with holes through it.

The 2 way mainfold is a metal bar with 2 taps on which you can conrtol the air flow with. I prefer these to any other but you may get on fine with just the junction.

6mm airline will do it fine, you may need to heat the end up a little to get it to fit properly but then youll have a good tight fit so it shouldnt pop off. Is their any model number or anything on that pump?
Their should be somewhere if the label hasnt been removed. But if that is for a 5-10 gallon tank you will proberly need another one.

Try the cheap t junction and find out if everything worls correctly then you save on the pump if not you will need another pump.

As Tony already advised, be sure to install a check valve. It's cheap insurance. The under gravel filter for a ten gallon tank will probably have two uplift tubes. As the bubbles come up the lift tube, they pull water with them. The water is drawn from under the filter and must, therefore, be pulled through the gravel substrate, which should be two inches thick or more. All of my aquariums have under gravel filters, and they work great if you keep up with partial water changes. When you syphon out water, clean only half of the substrate during any one partial water change. This leaves in enough good cooties to keep the aquarium cycled.
