If you want live plants, you will need at least two inches of substrate. Of course, you can mix live plants with plastic ones.

PS: I'll have a large ice tea and a chicken sandwich. Or is that a Mc Chicken?

nice view..what fishes do you prefer for this aquarium?cichlid or angel or discus?
