What is your PH reading?..and your hardness?
Are you using a product to lower this?
What is the reason?...and what type of fish do you have?
Personally...(unless this is Discus)... I have found that most any species of fish adapt to various degrees of PH.
I have Angelfish breeding in a PH of 7.8. I also have fairly hard water.
Using chemicals to lower or increase your PH is very stressful on fish. There is too much flucuation taking place. It is my opinion it is better to keep a stable environment ( even if the PH is a bit high) rather than add anything. Like I said..most fish adjust VERY well to various PH levels.
Hope that helps??

I agree with Diane. Most fish can't adapt to sudden changes, and most of the chemical "cures" are just temporary. Two things that will gradually lower pH and hardness are Malaysian driftwood and Indian almond leaves. Live plants also go a long way in making a healthy aquarium.

I'm sorry Ronaldo...
so are you trying to "raise" your PH level?
