what is the best fish for a 1 gallon tank. i just found a 1 gallon in the garage and i want to use it. please tell me some really small fish that i can put in it.

A 1G tank is not suitable for any fish, as it is too small. Perhaps a few shrimp, if you have a filter and heater.

I would suggest keeping it for a medicine bath tank, instead, in case you have to dose/dip a single fish. (Even then, a large Rubbermaid is likely better.)

A 1g is NOT suitable for a betta or guppy. That is a myth. Nothing, will do well in there, not even shrimp or snails in my opinion. What you could do with it, is use it to grow some plants.

No! Neither a betta nor a guppy can be kept in 1g. The ONLY thing even remotely possible is a single snail or a couple of the small shrimp types.

This is a good idea. I could see it being a nice plant tank - maybe a decorative little lucky bamboo display.

An aquarium that small is nearly impossible to maintain in a healthy condition. About the only thing that would work is a small colony of miniature shrimp.
