John, what do you do for a living?

Before I retired in 2000, I worked for about 45 years in the aerospace industry. Most of that time was spent organizing, writing and editing technical proposals and reports as well as a few procedures and just about anything else that needed writing. Before that, I went to college and earned a BA in English. Sometimes, working was fun, but mostly it was very high pressure and a pain in places that shouldn't hurt so I retired as soon as I was eligible to draw Social Security. Although it doesn't pay very well, retirement beats the duckweed out of working for a living. Probably that was too many details.

dude im very interested in the areospace industry, im starting my freshman year in hish school, what do i have to do good in and what subjects doi have to take to do stuff like that? btw idk if u heard of my hs but it is called st. thomas aquinas

This is pretty far off topic, but what the heck. The best jobs in aerospace are in the engineering field, and many of the top managers come from that background. That means you need to focus on math, chemistry, physics, etc. I did, then late in the game changed my major to liberal arts because i liked it better. As if there is not already too much pressure on young people, many of the decisions you make now will determine the course of the rest of your life. The only thing you can do is hedge your bets and make the best of your circumstances.
