i want to know what tropical fresh water fish <email> birth cuz im thinking about starting a breeding biz
Google livebearers. Are you going to try and sell them privately? Because alot of LFS will not take them.
why wouldnt they take them my best friend is breeding discus mollies and guppies and they buy them
Where do you live? In the US, the only people who will usually take fish from the public are mom and pop shops, not chain stores. Some chain stores will take them, but they will not pay for them.
my petco said they will buy them for 25 cents a fish but i bought all my fish from them.
petsmart said they couldint tho.
Apart from mollies, guppies, platties and sword tails you might want to look at half beaks. They are a great little fish, kinda lika a minature garrfish (can get a bit agro though) and are an easy to breed live bearer.
There is also the African tooth carp, but this is not a good looking fish (in my opinion).
good luck, live bearers are fun.
R U not trying gouramis anymore??
live bearers r fun exspetially when u got kids or in my case nefews in the house.
@ SOUTHERN CREATURE yes im gonna try breeding my blue gouramis in a couple of weeks and @ tanner i do have two daughters and they would love little fishys cuz they love adults ty guys
yup. my nefews just sit by the tank everyday and try to count all the babies. they all have a fave pict out 2 altho they probly say a dif one is there fave everytime.
mjrkiller...buy some half beaks...you'll love them.
and they occupy the top of the aquarium.
seriuosly they are sooooo cool!
can keep mollies and swords etc with em.
Sounds to me llike U R getting too excited, breeding fish takes time and patience. It is up to them to do that work, you just look after them.
And look after them well mate.
but it takes time.
molly, platy, guppy n swordtail. keep them in male-female at 1:2. in a little high temp than normal. feed good. within 1 month, you will few baby at least. for fry to hide, keep some bushy plant like hornwort. as adult can eat their fry. good luck.
i am excited and i will look after them im infatuated with my fish but ty bro. i will look into the half beaks c wat they r
red tail black variatrus are live bearers. But be careful! ive read that some babies get stuck in the bellies. The worst part is my red tail black variatrus has the same problem. it has been 5 hours since she started giving birth. but the baby fish is still stuck! Hopefully she makes it through! Im sure yours wont have problems thogh
guppies, mollies, platties, and swordtails
