I have a 55 gallon salt tank. There are alot of things i have no idea what they are.I have been looking on line and at petshops. No one seems to have any idea. There are snails with bairly no shell it looks like a lide. There is no inside. There is also these legs that are pretty big they look like a starfish leg but its not.There is also these tubes that have two worm lookinglegs that come out and grab food'and other tubs have spider webs that come out then pull the food back in. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME??

Oh dear, that sounds like a horror show. Sorry, I don't know enough about salt tanks to help any, but I am interested to hear explanations for all of that.

This site will lead you to information on live rock hitchhikers. not all hitchikers are good, thats why you want to keep a good eye one the rock in the store before you take it home and then even quarintine the rock before you put it in your tank. there is more types of hitchikers than this site list but the full list is almost non ending. hope this helps if you have more questions let me know.

Well i found out everything in my tank is great to have. Alot of things are rare. I had a marine scientist come and take a look at my tank'and he cant belive whats in there and how established it is. i only had it for 9 months and had to move it 3 months ago. I guess i am lucky with it. I would post some pics but have no idea how.

A picture would be great. At the bottom of the REPLY page, there is a blank for attaching an image file. If you have a digital camera that will share its memory with your computer, just click BROWSE and select the picture you want to post.

well i had the same thing in my tank didnt no what them wormy things were either but i put in a chinese algi eater in within 2 day they were gone
