Thanks you so much... I think i know now why my 30 gal. fish tank has been getting white fuzz on the bottom of the fish tank..
The movement that someone mentioned...
I never thought about that... I have only one fish in there right know... A silver dollar fish..We've had him for 3 yrs now..But for some reason the tank is clean filter is clean.
But white fuzz comes in about 1-2 weeks after cleaning...And i've been looking for a answer .
The movement, the fish only stays midway and hide behind the one statue...she doesn't go to the bottom of the tank at all.....Thank you so much..

Some filters can't pick uneaten food off the bottom. You need to do it with a syphon. Better yet, feed only what the fish will eat in about two minutes.

It's interesting to me Suzer... that you say you were balled out for feeding the frozen food...

I was also balled out for feeding the frozen food...

I was instructed to thaw the frozen food in water taken from the aquarium...

Well... I did that for a while, but I'll still drop in a frozen cube now and then...

Supposedly if you feed a lower temp food, it drops the body temp of the fish... An ill effect...

I have never noticed any problem... but obviously some people have...

Yes, Angela, and what's really odd is that the person that originally told me to put the frozen cube in the tank, is a college graduate of fish studies (sorry I don't remember his proper credentials), and he's now the manager of a very successful fish store in Sheffield, UK. The people that balled me out belong to an American forum (I won't name and shame that forum).
I've had some problems with that forum, and have talked to alot of people who have also had problems with it. Let's just say they aren't very congenial towards newbies, and not just newbies, but anyone that seems to have a different opinion than what they preach.
I will come down off my soap box now.
The idea behind giving the puffers the frozen cube of bloodworm was to help keep their beak trimmed because I complained that mine weren't bothering with snails and I was curious if there was something else I could do.
Sorry that I got off subject.
