All of the fish have been exposed, so if you chose to use a chemical treatment, you should treat the whole tank. A better cheaper way is to do a 20 or 25 percent water change every day for about a week. It will not cure diseases or parasites, but it will give the fish a chance to cure themselves. Often, the partial water changes are more effective than other measures. Don't forget to add a good water conditioner with the new water. Also, if you do decide on a chemical treatment, remove any charcoal filter media, and follow the package instructions to the letter. Please keep us posted.

What is your water temperature? Ich(white spot) cannot survive in higher temperatures. If you were to raise the water temperature while you did your treatment it would likely be more effective. I keep my clown loaches with my discus at about 84 degrees and have never had a problem with ich. Hope this helps!
