My dream tank is a huge tank, like 600 gallons or something. It's going to be freshwater with a whole lot of plants. It could be a species tank such as a discus tank, or something like an angelfish tank, or maybe even a huge shoal of tetras! What is your dream tank? Oh the possibilities.

I still want a miniature submarine with a camera so I can get the fish's point of view. Things probably look quite a bit different from the inside of the aquarium.

i want an aquarium room, where all four walls are aquariums, and each wall would be of differnt communities of fish. At least one would be salt water, with big beautiful differnt corals and interesting creatures. And inside the room would be a lounge room , or social room , or a reading room! ah, the possiblities.

My dream tank is a 300 gallon heavily planted w/driftwood discus tank. I would have about twenty discus and 100 cardinal tetras. About ten cory catfish, three snail eating loaches and a couple bn plecos for algae. Boy that would be something to see.

Thats funny because being that I don't really have pretty much anything, I would just like to have at least a 5-10 gallon tank with some bettas and whatever is compatible with them. I don't know if I would be able to take care of anything bigger.

It doesn't have to be realistic, I just wanted to know what people thought! So it could be like a million gallon tank that would take care of itself if you wanted it to be!

You know what else would be cool? If you had a whole bunch of tanks interconnected by a series of tubes so that fish would be able to move as they please instead of back and forth.

Oh wow they actually have these things. What I would really like to see is 55 gallon tanks connected to another and to a 100 gallon and then something like a 20 or something. I would like the total tank volume to be like 400 gallons. Big but not too big. The rainforest cafe aquarium is too big in my opinion.

One of the aquarium shops here in Phoenix had a setup with a couple of large, acrylic aquariums connected by a tube that was about a foot in diameter.

I want to pull out the living room wall and replace it with a huge aquarium system. Now that I have seen the tube thing, I think it would have a central large tank of 300g and be connected via large tubes to six 100g tanks. Since that wall faces a bathroom and my closet, it would only be viewable from the living room, so the back of the tanks would be against an oak wall. That way I can use those empty areas around the tubes for knick knacks and books and it will still look classy. It would have a great filtration system that would be housed in my closet and I could clean it via a tube system that drains the water through a series of pipes into the ceiling and out into the garden. The tanks would be refilled from a water tank that filters the cities water 24 hours prior to its use in cleaning the tank (this keeps the "filtered" water from getting brackish or murky and keeps the holding tank for that water cleaner), and each tank would have its own cleaning day/cycle (7 tanks, means a tank is being cleaned every day to maintain it). The cleaning would be automated aso that I didn't have to ever worry about it.
Gee, we could start our own new TV show!!! We could call it Extreme Make Over - Aquarium Edition. I want to have the first episode done on my house!

What a great idea. I would love to see pictures of a setup like that. Of course, you would have to brace the floor really well, because any shift in the load could make things leak.
